ENGAGE

HRBC works year round to engage with our community. Through our various events, we serve and love on the people of our area with the love of Christ. Scroll down to see some of what we do throughout the year.

RISEN SON SPRING FESTIVAL

The Risen Son Spring Festival is a celebration of Springtime and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Games, face painting, and grill-out style food can be found at this free event for the family.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Vacation Bible School, or VBS is a fun-filled week for kids PreK-5th Grade. Each year, VBS is themed for a different vacation destination. During this week, kids sing, jump, and play as they learn about how great God is and how they can have a relationship with him.

BACKYARD BIBLE CLUB

Every Summer, volunteers form HRBC put on a Backyard Bible Club in the Sulphur community. Kids from the neighborhood can enjoy snack, songs, bible stories, and games throughout the week. On Friday, everyone in the community is invited to a free, family-friendly Block Party!

FAMILY FUN DAY

Family Fun Day takes place on the 4th of July and is a great place for friends and family to get together and celebrate our great nation. With food, games, music, and fireworks, this event is fun for the whole family!

KIDS BEACH CLUB

Kids Beach Club is a children's ministry at E.K. Key Elementary School. Volunteers from HRBC sing songs, play games, and teach the kids about the Bible. Each child receives their own Bible and KBC gives them the tools to learn and understand it.

HARVEST FESTIVAL

HRBC’s annual Harvest Festival is a time where kids and adults can put on costumes and have a great time on campus. This is an event for kids of all ages and includes games, food, drinks and of course…candy!

LIVE NATIVITY

The Live Nativity is a unique and anticipated Christmas tradition, put on by HRBC. Close to 100 members every year are involved in building sets, sewing costumes, and acting out the Christmas Story in a real-life way. This event takes place at The City of Sulphur’s The Grove during the Christmas Under the Oaks Celebration. It is a fun and beautiful way for both children and adults to come together and learn about the true meaning of Christmas.

Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
